One Last Wonderful Day in Victoria BC

Victoria BC

Today we spent our last day in Victoria visiting with Alexander, Toaster and Kelsey.  Our day started as they all have with a very magical morning walk with Toaster.

The University of Victoria dog park opens onto the Mystic Vale a protected environmental area where pathways and bridges roam up and down a valley within the University campus.

The rainy season started today, and a gentle mist fell upon us all day, brightening all the colours.

Today it was the fungi that drew our attention as did the red rose hips that seem to be everywhere.  Do people still make rose hip tea?

From Mystic Vale we went downtown where we had a wonderful lunch and tasted some great beer and I discovered a new favourite root beer ‘Captain Electro Intergalactic Root Beer’ bottled by Phillips brewing company – now we just must figure out how to get it back to Ontario.

The day ended with tea and journaling – does life get any better.
