Destination Victoria British Columbia - Thetis Lake

 Destination Victoria BC CA
Today we walked around Thetis Lake which is really two lakes around which beautifully groomed trails meander for 4.9 kilometers.

We love that Victoria embraces off lease dog areas and for much of our walk today Toaster was free to roam and swim as he wanted.

It was only as we neared the end of our walk that the sounds of traffic penetrated the forest and you were reminded that you were still within the city.

Fall in Victoria is about the rain and while it has not rained while we have been here it did just before our arrival and the grass, ferns and flowers are a lush green as a result.

As Victoria's climate is like that of a rain forest there are vines and lichen everywhere we believe that image below is of reindeer Lichen.

This plant like the lichen was growing on the trees and we have not idea what it is called.  It was the most predominant lichen at Thetis lake from our experience.
