May has been very hot in Ontario and the fresh cool air found
only in the early morning beings a great deal of joy. This morning the heat of the house drove me
outside where I found instant joy in the early morning light, the freshness of
the cool air and the beauty of our garden.
Our gardens have been planted with plants that remind us of people and
place. So for us stepping outside is like visiting old friends and family - a living photograph album.
I am very
sorry we cannot remember the name of this beautiful flowering shrub.
We planted it because it
reminded us of a desert plant that we enjoyed on our trips to Santa Fe New
Mexico and this morning it enhanced the pleasure that I found in the experience of my early morning walk.
