5 Minutes Of My Day - Investing in the creative experience

May 28, 2018
May 28, 2018 Receiving Happy Mail.

We all know an artist struggling to create a life for themselves as they send out into the world their personal expressions of life.  Winston Churchill was asked to cut the spending to arts programs during the war and he rightly challenged this by saying “What are we fighting for then?”.

Within my family there are numerous young artists, working through different mediums, cloth, paint, wood, music … and today my card order arrived from my niece Erin Taniguchi.  I find her expression of life in her art both thought provoking and beautiful – to be something work fighting for.

I will include the cards I purchased in the journals I am creating in the hopes of sharing Erin’s expression of self and the world with others.  To provide opportunity for others to explore the world through her artist world view.

An artist is an explorer. ~ Henri Matisse
