Racing
through the day, moving from one stressful event immediately into the next with
no awareness of self – my needs, the space that I am taking up, being totally focused
on the people and tasks before me it was that at the end of the work day with both breakfast and lunch half eaten on my desk, I
race home just in time to travel with Paul to our yoga class.
At the studio I quickly gather yoga props, lay down and continue to race through the day right up
until our instructor asks us to breath in “I am” and breath out “here.”
Breath in
the beauty and amazing moments that were today.
Hold
strong through the moments that were awful
Breath
out into the present moment of your now.
I am
here.
I am here
With these
words I reclaim myself, begin to feel my body, relax into the wonder of the
moment I am in.
I could
not tell you what the sky was like as I entered the yoga studio and as I
existed with the words “ I am” flowing through me as I breathed in and “here”
as I exhale I am overwhelmed with the beauty of the sky above me and experience pure joy.
