5 Minutes Of My Day - Sunshine and the fragrance of wild phlox

June 8, 2018

Our sense of smell is one of our strongest links to memory.

This evening the temperature was perfect for driving with the window down and as I drove home the fragrance of wild phlox transported me back to my childhood and driving early in the morning with my grandfather.

A weekend sleepover with my paternal grandparents meant an early morning drive with grandpa where he would introduce me to the amazing beauty of his world.

Wild phlox was just of the beauties he introduced me to and the intoxicating fragrance they create on the wind.
