Surrounded by the familiarity of our home

Quick start to the morning with a 6:00 am scammer call this one again, was a credit card scam.   A recording said there had been two charges to our card and please call etc.

So Annoying and yes over my morning coffee I check all our accounts, and everything was good – yep a scammer.

On a brighter note a walk around our back yard revealed grass newly seeded beginning to grow, pumpkin plants in bloom and beautiful flowers.

The beauty and familiarity of our home quickly restored my sense of safety, my equilibrium.

Retirement has come with a sense of vulnerability that I had not experienced previously I will need to explore this further through my journaling.

I am enjoying writing in this my second journal of 2019.

My first journal was a gift from our grandson my second a gift from you son-in-love.

He offered it to me when he found out that my first journal would soon be full.  This is a journal he purchased for writing his patterns in and he abandoned it because he did not like the paper.  In re-purposing to me he suggested that I take out the pages he wrote on or cover them up.  I have not done either of these as I find comfort in his notes, his handwriting, in knowing we have shared this journal.

Tuesday night is supper with James and tonight was our night to cook, we brought meatloaf, it was delicious, and we spent a wonderful evening.  The night got even better after the weather broke and my headache released.

Robins nest with 4 eggs

As we were leaving the house tonight, I startled a Robin who has made her nest in our front porch.  Once I got over my surprise and knowing she had left the nest we looked in the nest (it is at eye level in a climbing bush).

Thank you for coming along today.
