Summer Changes Her Colours

With comfortable daytime temperatures people are beginning to come alive again and the world is less noisy.   There is something wonderful waking into silence, no AC running, no fans chirping away just bird song and the rustle of the breeze through the trees.

So this morning we took advantage of this wonderful weather, walked around town attending to small errands and walked 5 km as a result.

Great exercise!

You see the world from a different perspective when you walk, you take in the small changes in the season as amazing seed pods form where earlier there were flowers, new flowers blooming and fields almost ready for harvesting.

The rest of the day was spent emptying the trailer out, cleaning the trailer, taking inventory of what we took out and deciding what would go back in.

Then we started packing with a short late lunch break.

Paul took Emma to the barn to care for her horse and I had a short visit with James and Rob where Rob attended to my computer.

Back home I finished a brown paper bag journal for our trip and I will post pictures of the journal as we travel and it goes from plain to decorated.

Not a very interesting day yet a very productive one.

Thank you for coming along.
