Moments become memories

This morning started with a blank agenda and my plan was to do nothing.

Sitting in my rocking chair working on my journal, I became aware of this vase and all the memories it holds for me.
As a child it was part of my memories of Aunt Marjorie and as an older adult it was in my mother’s mother.

These memories were the motivation I needed to expand my agenda to include a lunch date with friends and a leisurely drive home.

Reconnecting with old colleagues and establishing new friendship, new memories was wonderful – Good food and friends a winning combination.

Walking out of the restaurant I found this patch of hens and chickens and I smiled remembering how just moments before we laughter and shared a meal together, a retired hen with two wonderful women building careers.

Here are images worthy of my stopping to photograph them specifically to share with you.

I love red barns!

When I arrived home there was happy mail from my great niece and nephew from Saskatchewan.

Filled with joy and good memories I was ready to sit down and sew on my granddaughters semi formal dress.

Tonight, was our eldest daughter’s riding night her.  Every week we are privilege to witness her journey with her horse Ellie they are becoming a team.

My memory from tonight is how she lay herself along Ellie's back hugging Ellie was what can only be described a pure joy – great memories.

I ended the day back in my pink rocking chair adding interest to my journal by collaging random scraps of paper.

Today was good day one full of memories.
