Myrtle Beach February 3, 2019 – Fully known.

The beach

Damp and misty is the best way to describe today and it ended with a down pour of rain.
We took our time over breakfast enjoying this simple pleasure and we arrived at church with time to spare.  After church we went to the Coastal Mall and walked 4 miles in the warmth and safety of the mall.

Beach art.

Our neighbour ensures that even on cloudy misty days we remember the glorious sunsets that are yet to come.

Shepherd by the Sea

The words that spoke to me today at the service was from Luke 4 “… even as I have been fully known” by my God.

There is peace in these words. Nothing is hidden all is known and we are still loved, we all are still loved.

The pastor challenged us that the neighbour that annoys us is loved just as we are and so are the men and women who threaten our national safety.

Being loved does not give us special status – knowing we are loved means that we have a responsibility to love as our God loves - fully and unconditionally.

When we understand this and humbly accept the weight of God’s love the world will know peace as we enter the world through love and know our place within this love.
