Comforting canopy above my head

Traveling home

I was made for the ground not to fly in the air.
Give me a canopy of clouds and soft grass under foot.
Let me soar through imagination where I can fly as high as a griffin, no a magical turquoise dragon.

Traveling home

I was made to walk this earth and fly through my imagination.

We left Victoria BC at 6:00 am MST and arrived back in Ontario 4:00 pm EST.   It was snowing in Calgary and we were delayed by an hour while our plane went through a deicing procedure first orange foam then green.

Paul and I were able to spread out across three seats and if ever we fly again we will look into the price on a class higher.

Traveling home

Mixed emotions marks the end of every vacation, sad to say goodbye to family and glad to be home.
Both emotions sparked by memories because in this moment we are strapped in our seats with our seat backs in the upright position descending from the sky where I do not belong, to the familiar ground where I will no longer look down on the clouds they will once again be the comforting canopy above my head.
