We do enjoy walking around a thrift store and today we found some amazing things.
Thrift stores are a great way to relax during a lunch break and at times you get a peak into the past.
The book that is opened is "Poetical works of Robert Browning" - 1937 is written on the inside cover along with the previous owners name. You can tell it was loved and well used - the spine has been repaired numerous times and page edges worn by use.
When you find beloved and beautiful things the following quote by Plutarch rings true.
"It is indeed a desirable thing to be well descended, but the glory belongs to our ancestors."
