Summer is
a state of mind was an advertising slogan stuck repeatedly along
the sidewalk in front of a local grocery store on my walk this morning.
The statement triggered in me mindfulness and I suddenly felt
the warm breeze on my face, I heard the birds in the trees along the road, I
inhaled the scent of late spring and my mood lightened.
Summer is a state of mind just as the sight of dandelions in
seed is a sign of summer late spring.
While I know the store wanted me to purchase things I want to
thank them for reminding me to be present in the world around me.
