Today too many people were angry and it would have been too
easy to have gotten caught up in the emotional aftermath.
We all experience anger it is a natural reaction to, pain,
frustration, injustice, grief, disappointment, confusion, disorientation, loss
of power, shame – to fear.
Fear that we may lose our sense of self either internally or
as we want to be projected into the world.
Anger attempts to, motivate either ourselves or others, it
distracts us from our feelings of helplessness, from our fear.
Here is the problem presented today in the face of so much
anger that we become fearful and enter the cycle of
distraction and forceful persuasion - by being angry ourselves and continue to spin the situation further out of control.
When presented with anger, it is important to create space, space to
step away from the anger so that we can see the person and look for the fear
that is fueling the anger, then we can engage with compassion and care.
