Be Glad And Rejoice

Philippians 4:5 and Luke 3:14 link Christian joy with none violence, gentleness and when I think on the life and death of Christ Jesus these are the words that come to mind.

The joy Christ brought to the task set before him, and the gentleness with which he performed it.

Mother Teresa understood this when she said "I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, 'How many good things have you done in your life?' rather he will ask, 'How much love did you put into what you did?"

Be glad and rejoice, be gentle in your life tasks because you have been ransomed from death not by your merits but through the love of your God.
