What a wonderful day for young and old alike at the first Maplelea Meet Up. As you can see above our Maplelea family has grown with the addition of Saila the Maplelea Girl from Inuktitut. Ruth and Emily picked her out for me.
When you entered Black Creek Pioneer Village Maplelea staff were there to greet us and provided the girls with an adventure booklet that took them around the Village directing them to ask questions of the park staff and to take part in activities. Every where you looked you saw Maplelea backpacks and Maplelea dolls riding inside.
The first activity was at the Tin Smith Shop where the girls were asked to blow out the light ~ well they huffed and they puffed and the light stayed lit.
Then there was learning to card wool ...
make brooms...
weave....
Build and so much more.
Maplelea had one more wonderful activity for the girls and their dolls a Victorian Tea!
Thank you Maplelea and Black Creek Pioneer Village for a most amazing day!
