 January 13, 2013

It has been a very busy week, with Emily and Ruth attending school and Grandma working.  Grandma did not get any sewing done during the week, but she did work on a knitting project for a friend at work and Great Grandma's sweater.

This is the knitted cocoon that I am making for Mary Beth's first grandchild due in April 2013

Emily and Ruth attended church with Grandma and Grandpa today

Maurice Martin
Maurice Martin  challenged us to move from a church formed around rules and certainties to a church centered around Christ's love a focal point around which to gather and an example that each of us struggle daily to attain.

The the opposite of Faith is Certainty

After church we all went to the new Pita Pit in our small community and Brooklynn joined us.   We took a picture on Grandpa's phone but could not get it off so no picture. Everyone had a great meal and once home Grandma was able to finish Isabella's winter coat.

And the girls all had fun playing with their dolls.

Here they all together and Ruth's stuffy Lambie

And here are Grandma's Itsy Bitsy Dolls
The outfits were crocheted in the summer of 2010 when Emily, Ruth and Grandma's friend Barbara Burkard  all stayed at Miller Lake together - that was great fun.

This week I hope to get a great deal more sewing done as I want to make a dress for myself and finish a blouse for a friend.
